Even if most of the carmakers have already finished their new models and concepts just in time for the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show which opens its gates next week, there are automakers that are still running tests.
In this case it is about Suzuki carmaker, recently sending the new Vitara for a final round of testing, the test mule seen here wearing a slight camouflage up front, which indicates that it is close to its final shape. Even so, it won`t be ready in time for the big event in Geneva.
Slotted to arrive on the market somewhere next year, the 2018 Vitara will emerge as a facelifted variant of the current model, meaning a suite of design changes and some minor tweaks inside the cabin.
According to the camouflaged area, we are expecting a revised front bumper, new air intakes and slightly revised front grille. Also, there might be some changes at the rear as well, even if there aren`t any signs of camouflage. We expect thus updated taillights and bumper.
Besides the new tweaks at the exterior, the 2018 Suzuki Vitara facelifted is also going to be equipped with new safety features, like new sensors in the front bumper with updated pre-collision warning system.
As for the car`s powertrain under the hood, this would utilize the same 1.6-liter petrol and diesel burners, with 118 horsepower each. We are waiting for fresh news about the model in the second quarter of the year!
