If we were to compare the Volkswagen Touareg in its first generation more than ten years ago with the latest edition recently undergoing tests, we would be shocked by the massive changes the latter is coming with.
And the Touareg has that common sense for which we should pay our respect whenever we see it in a fully-fledged body styling. And the 2018 Touareg edition is definitely one of the most impressive SUVs that the German carmaker has ever built.
Following Porsche with the latest 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo, the fastest sedan on the Ring, the all-new Touareg also promises to deliver the best design cues and a more appealing attitude, despite its massive body.
Recently seen undergoing tests, the video below by motor1.com reveals a Touareg model with an upright grille and rear, with new LEDs and other improved characteristics, otherwise hidden by the camouflage at the front and rear end.
As for the interior, the upcoming 2018 VW Touareg is said to underpin the new MLB Evo platform, which would lead to an increase space inside, accommodating up to seven passengers and allowing to use several other storage spaces for different purposes. The same platform is also used by other models within the group, Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga.
In the engine department, the model is reported to come with a wide array of petrol burners and diesels, with a plug-in hybrid to be released later on. More details will be revealed at the end of the year when the model will debut as a 2018 YM.
