It has been quite some time since the auto world expects Skoda to leap into the new era of going green, and it seems that we are equally rewarded. Splashed last month, Skoda’s new big seven-seater electric car, the Skoda Space, has been recently seen testing in northern Sweden. While being rather disguised, here is our first clear look at the production version, which will go on sale in 2026.

Specifically, the concept of the Skoda Vision 7S was unveiled almost two years ago, but now to see a serial vehicle based on it is rather inspiring. As read, the electric three-row crossover will be named Skoda Space, with an all-new modern and solid design being both elegant and streamlined.

From the few pictures available (thanks to our fellows from Carscoops), one would see that, as for the design, the Skoda Space has a round leading edge with sleek headlights, a large central vent, and sharp air vents. Added to this are the streamlined bodywork and the flush door handles that make most designs look dramatic and give a futuristic appearance.

Perhaps one of the most distinct features of the Skoda Space is the large glass area, which appears to have been retained from the concept vehicle. This not only gives the chasm of variety light within the cabin but also helps in giving an aero form of the complete vehicle. As previously mentioned, the sizeable, sloping roofline and the aerodynamically efficient front wheels represent the continuance of Skoda’s sustainability drive in the efficient EV.

Speaking of the car’s back part, the latter is still a secret for now, but a large spoiler and bright vertical taillights can be noted. However, we do know that the latter fits perfectly into the liftgate and bears the aesthetics of the Vision 7S concept.

Even more joyous is the news that Skoda has revealed that the Space will measure approximately 5 meters long, which would be roughly 9.8 inches more than the Skoda Enyaq. Of course, such an extension will undoubtedly help increase the car’s internal volume, which will allow it to comfortably accommodate up to seven people on board.

As for the technology, the most noticeable option seems to be 14.6 inches of infotainment system in the portrait position. This vast display is bound to provide variabilities of aspects as well as precise touchscreen buttons to control the equipment, hence enhancing passengers’ experience.

In regards to the powertrain, there is not much more information available, but it is known that the Vision 7S concept was based on the MEB platform and had an 89 kWh battery to offer a WLTP range of over 373 miles (600 km). Presumably, the Skoda Space might borrow some motors from the facelifted Enyaq, the rear and dual motor all-wheel drive ones of 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS).

In summary, one would say that the Skoda Space could be an interesting start in the age of electrification. Due to design elegance, adequate interior space, and new features, it has the prospect to compete with other electric cars that belong to the seven-seater class. As we eagerly await the official unveiling in 2026, one thing is clear: Skoda is now preparing a fascinating perspective of the automobile industry in the sphere of electric cars.
