Death Valley is the place where the Germans from Mercedes are currently testing the next-generation Mercedes SLK, the following photos released by the manufacturer proving this. Mercedes decided to reveal some interior shots too, new elements such revised dashboard and three-spoke steering wheel are available.

The main purpose for this test made in the U.S. was to see how the new roof behaves, a roof which comes with few innovative and helpful new features. We are talking about the Magic Sky Control, a roof which comes with a condenser able to filter the light which enters the interior and keep the seats, dashboard and other components from the interior cool.

Starting next year, the new Mercedes SLK will be available but the Stuttgart manufacturer stated that the Magic Sky Control feature will be just an optional one, extra €2,000 will be the price tag of the innovative roof.
