Abarth decided to unveil the new 695 Tributo Maserati special edition scheduled to debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. The Italian manufacturer decided to create this model in partnership with Maserati, the base model being the Convertible variant of the Abarth 500.
Under the bonnet sits a 1.4-liter Turbo petrol engine delivering 180 horsepower and linked to a five-speed manual transmission.
About three years ago, Abarth presented the 695 Tributo Ferrari model which was a limited edition developed in partnership with Ferrari.
“Just as the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari is the utmost expression of Abarth’s sporty character and racing spirit, this new Limited Edition epitomises sheer elegance united to the comfort of a GranTurismo,” says the company.
At the exterior, the special edition features the “Pontevecchio Bordeaux” finish from Maserati, hexagonal tailpipes and 17-inch alloy wheels. A new braking system with 305mm Brembo discs and four-piston calipers is available as well along with new shock absorbers for the revised suspension.
The interior features bespoke instrument panel gauges, a new leather steering wheel and aluminum pedals. Only 499 units will leave the factory’s gates, pricing details following to be released at Geneva.
