German tuner ABT Sportsline has a keen eye for one-off models from Audi or Mercedes-Benz, but recently it managed to create a unique program for the new Volkswagen Arteon, both visually as well as from a performance perspective.
Following the announcement of an exclusive aero package for the official replacement of the VW CC back in September, ABT Sportline`s special project is popping up into the spotlights with a power grade carried out on the same model.
In stock variant, the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Arteon is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol burner, developing 276 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. And even if fans were a little bit disappointed by that, they will now have the chance and pleasure of taking it for a spin with some new ponies under the hood.
The specialists from ABT Sportsline have injected a power kit (with ABT Engine Control system) underneath the car`s skin, enhancing the power to 345 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. And the difference is observed in the 100 km/h sprint. Unfortunately, the tuner has not released the performance figure yet, but we definitely see here an improvement of at least 3 seconds.
Now that we have heard of the power input, let`s see some visual enhancements that the German technicians from ABT have added to the new VW Arteon.
From the media gallery, we can see that the model has now been lowered, meaning 25 mm up front and 30 mm at the rear. Besides that, the Arteon by ABT Sportsline is also wearing 19-inch Sport ER-C alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 high-performance winter tires. However, you can also opt for other choices – 21- or 22-inch alloys from the tuner`s DR, FR or GR series. Other features also include new sports suspension system which increases the car`s stance and offer better grip.
The car`s aesthetics are detailed in the media gallery below. Enjoy and stay tuned for further info regarding performance numbers!
