Acura pulled the wraps off the new MDX SUV, a model seen for the first time in concept form at the NAIAS. The all-new Acura MDX comes with a futuristic look, a new front grille, LED daytime running lights, a tailgate spoiler and chrome accents.
Interior features include wood inserts, leather upholstery, rear seat entertainment system with 9.-inch displays, metallic trim and more.
Under the hood sits a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable to deliver 290 horsepower and 362Nm of torque. When linked to a six-speed automatic transmission, the new MDX returns fuel economy figures of 18mpg (city) and 27mpg (highway).
If you opt for the all-wheel drive system known as Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, the numbers will increase to 20mpg and 28mpg.
For now, Acura released no pricing details but we do know that the new MDX will go on sale this summer in the States.
