Alfa Romeo Stelvio Pops-up in Online Renderings

View

Alfa Romeo is playing hard to get with its plethora of models, recently unveiled or about to be unveiled in the near future.

After the Alfa Romeo Giulia lineup has created quite a stir in the auto industry, especially the high-end QV model, which has put to sleep the hardcore BMW M4 with its sheer performance, now, another model is just about the shake the SUV segment with impressive characteristics.

It is about the long-rumored Alfa Romeo SUV, dubbed for the moment Stelvio, recently popping up on the web in two renderings signed by RM Car Design, which is portraying how the model is likely to look like.

Set for an official debut this November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show and already confirmed by the Italian carmaker, the Alfa Romeo SUV is reported to take its design inspiration from the Giulia model, meaning sharp lines and extremely aggressive attitude. The same body styling characteristics will be also seen on six models underpinning the same platform.

Speaking about architecture, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio will also stand on the Giulia`s platform, meaning enough space to accommodate passengers and a high-performance engine lineup.

As expected, the Stelvio SUV is also likely to share the same engines with the Giulia model lineup, for both the rear- and the all-wheel drive versions. We could see the 2.2-liter diesel, as well as a 2.0-liter petrol engine with three configurations, like 200 horsepower, 250 horsepower and 280 horsepower, respectively. And again, the Giulia QV`s powerful 2.9-liter V6 engine with 500 horsepower is also likely to sit underneath the Stelvio SUV.

Full details and prices will be revealed at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.
