Are you ready for another disappointment from one of the petrolheads favorite Italian brands?
As far as Alfa Romeo is concerned if the company is to have a proper chance at the future, their upcoming SUV has to deliver the goods and sell like hot cakes.
Over the last few years, Fiat was turned around financially and part of Chrysler’s recent reviving is due in no small part to the Italian corporation.
While there’s been a lot of improvements within Fiat, Alfa Romeo was the feather in their cap, as far as the icon factor is concerned but financially they suffer as much as ever.
The deficit can’t be covered easily and even if Alfa Romeo can break even, there are years of losses that have to be done.
Time has come for something of an instant success and since every brand in the world was successful with an SUV, simple logic has the same thing happening for Alfa.
While I think the SUV isn’t that successful any more and one with an Alfa Romeo badge on the front is sacrilege to purists, I certainly hope it can deliver what Fiat hopes.
If, and this is a big if, Alfa Romeo’s SUV has the success deemed necessary, only then can the company find the funds to once again win our hearts over.
