Seat pulled the wraps off the new Ibiza CUPRA, a high-performance model which will arrive in the British market starting 2013.
Power is provided by a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine capable to produce 180 horsepower and 250Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6,9 seconds.
A new seven-speed DSG automatic transmission transfers the power to the wheels, Seat announcing a top speed of 228 km/h. Fuel economy figures are rated at 47,9mpg UK or 5,8 liters/100km.
Exterior features of the 2013 Seat Ibiza CUPRA include new LED daytime running lights, revised front and rear bumpers, 17-inch alloy wheels, black gloss side mirrors and revised rear optical blocks.
“The expressive design of the new Ibiza CUPRA is obvious from the very first glance – a dynamic supermini with a solid and powerful stance,” says the Spanish car maker.
Entering the cabin you will find sport seats wrapped in leather, a sport steering wheel with shift paddles and new trim. British buyers will be able to order the new Ibiza CUPRA starting January at a starting price of £18,825.
