The French based manufacturer Alpine has successfully unveiled the all-new A110 at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the model getting lots of attention from the media worldwide, especially since we are looking here at a powerful car set to compete against the Alfa Romeo 4C.
Now, after the unveiling and a big round of applauses from journalists, the Alpine A110 has been confirmed for the production line, the model being first released on the UK market.
The big event will be held at Battersea Park in London starting the 4th of May, during the London Motor Show, with Chairman of the event Alec Mumford, also commenting on the car`s arrival.
“It’s a real accolade to have the Alpine A110 showcased on these shores for the very first time at the London Motor Show. Due to popular demand, we’ve already had to release more tickets for May’s event, and having the Alpine A110 make its UK debut goes to show just how much weight it carries in the automotive world.”
As a reminder, the direct rival of the Porsche Cayman and Alfa Romeo 4C comes with a light body style, thanks to the all-aluminum platform with aluminum composites, increasing its performance. It also comes with advanced aerodynamics and the latest mechanics – Brembo aluminum brake calipers, rear brakes with integrated brake actuator, 18-inch aluminum wheels by Otto Fuchs, Sabelt one-piece bucket seats, and so on, all saving significant weight.
Performance wise, the Alpine A110 features a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine with 247 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, at a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h. Prices will be revealed in the UK prior to its official debut.
