The Aston Martin Lagonda was officially revealed in Dubai. The British decided to add the “Taraf” moniker to the model’s name, a decision meant to make the model stand out even more, namely considering it is dedicate to a market such as Dubai.
The high-performance model is targeted to the wealthy customers in the Middle East even though the company claims that they are considering selling the car in other markets as well.
The Lagonda Taraf benefits from design cues from the 1976’s model and will be built at the same plant in Gaydon.
“Addressing an audience of media and VIP guests at the launch event in Dubai, Dr Palmer revealed that the Lagonda, will be known as the Lagonda Taraf in that market,” says the carmaker.
Under the hood expect to see a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing around 600 horsepower and linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. However, the company has still to confirm these figures.
