The Germans from Sport-Wheels released details on their latest tuning kit dedicated to Audi A4 Convertible. Even the German model is out of production for about three years, Sport-Wheels specialists decided to create a package that brings both aesthetic and performance upgrades.
The Audi A4 Convertible started its production in 2002 and Karmann, the main company that manufactured the model reported about 200,000 units left the factory gates in six years of existence. However, the partnership between Audi and Karmann came to an end in 2008 and, therefore, the German model quitted the production.
Even so, the German specialists from Sport-Wheels prepared a complete tuning kit for the German convertible model and considering that the summer has already arrive and that the cabrio models are very wanted these months, this new tuning kit might be a success for the A4 customers that think their vehicles need a fresh look and more power under the bonnet.
With this been said, Sport-Wheels offer a performance upgrade able to deliver extra 60 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque over the normal output of 200 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. As a result of a remapped ECU unit and a new high performance quad-pipe exhaust system, the 2.0-liter TFSI unit that fits German convertible model is able to produce 260 horsepower and 372 Nm of torque.
The power upgrade, the ECU remapping to be more precise, costs €849 while for extra €1,666 you will get the new exhaust system with four stainless steel 83 mm pipes featuring middle and rear silencers. Other technical improvements brought by Sport-Wheels include a new KW coilover suspension (Variant 3) which manages to improve the ride and handling at a cost of €1,759.
As we mentioned above, the German tuners decided to bring some improvements to the exterior appearance as well. In this regard, they fitted the German model with a new set of 20-inch Eta Beta Tettsut X-ceramic alloy wheels alongside 245/30-20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT. The new alloy wheels are priced at €3,290 and are the latest component of the Sport-Wheels Audi A4 convertible.
