In the automotive world, pickup conversions are a thing most people would frown upon, but fact remains pickups have their utility.
Still, this particular Audi A6L pickup conversion doesn’t really seem like a vehicle I would trust to drive.
And for good reasons too. Apart for being made in China, this pickup A6L was rebuilt after the donor vehicle crashed. Faced with the decision, the Chinese dealership decided not to scrap it, but instead rebuild the whole rear end as a flatbed.
All things considering, it is not a bad effort, and the dealership should be proud for at least thinking outside the box. Unfortunately, this is only a show piece, as it is not road legal. Under the hood it sports a 4 cylinder 2.0 TFSI engine capable of delivering 170 bhp.
