Audi announce their plans to reveal a special g-tron version of the current A3 Sportback.
This specific model uses a standard 1.4-liter TFSI engine offering 110 horses and 200Nm of torque but also two gas tanks able to carry 7 kilograms of CNG.
These thanks are placed under the boot floor and enable a fuel economy of 3,5 kg/100km and a driving range of 400 km. If you combined this with the range provided by the gasoline engine, you will obtain a total of 1,300 kilometers with CO2 emissions of just 30 g/km.
The German model is capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds and hit a top speed of 190 km/h. Depending on driving (at slower of faster speed), the electronic gas pressure regulator decreases or increases the pressure which improves the economy as well.
More information on the new Audi A3 Sportback g-tron will be released this month at Geneva.
