Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen Extend Warranties For Three Months

Views

Governments and health institutions all over the world are working hard to stop the spread of the Coronavirus as the situation gets grim with each passing day. In such times good news is hard to come by but the trio of Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen has made sure you get some relief from their side. The three companies have extended their vehicle warranties for three months and that too for free.

Since the start of the pandemic, people have been advised to stay home and avoid leaving their houses for unnecessary reasons. However, when the situation worsened and whole cities went into lockdown many owners had to sacrifice car maintenance and upkeep. In light of this situation the three German manufacturing giants VW, Porsche, and Audi decided to help out their customers.

The warranty extension is valid for those customers whose warranty period was ending in between March 1st, 2020 to May 31st, 2020. This policy applies to both original and extended warranties. Furthermore, the three companies, who coincidentally belong to the VW group, have provided this relief for almost all of their worldwide customers. In other words, their warranty extension is not limited only to Europe but goes as far as Australia.

Audi, Porsche, and VW are not the first to provide relief to their customers. Earlier, Hyundai and Kia also extended their warranties to facilitate their customers in this trying time. Both the companies have extended their warranty periods till 30th June 2020. Following the trend, Aston Martin also pitched in with their warranty extension.

It is no surprise that the entire automobile industry has been hit hard with the effects of the pandemic. Factories and plants are shut down with auto sales plummeting across the globe. Some manufacturers have even shifted production to cater to the needs of health workers by providing new ambulances.
It is yet unknown when the coronavirus pandemic will end and the worldwide restrictions will be lifted. But until that happens we can rest assured that auto manufacturers are doing their best to cater to the needs of their customers.
