The new Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro will be seen the 2011 Wörthersee Tour which starts tomorrow in Austria and will be exclusively available in Need for Speed World in the same period of the show as a free in-game rental car. This revolutionary model will join Volkswagen’s Golf24, Golf GTI Edition 35 and Golf 16S special editions we talked in the previous post.

At a glance, the new A1 Clubsport Quattro impresses by an aggressive styling package which includes 19-inch alloy wheels, Glacier White matte finish, a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) roof, wider fenders and doors, a single-frame grille with a honeycomb design, a roof spoiler and also a modified front skirt with large air intakes. As you probably noticed, the rear end presents no exhaust pipes but this does not mean the model is a zero-emission vehicle. The Germans decided to integrate the exhaust system pipes in the side sills, improving at least the appearance if not even the performance.

If this was not enough, the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer fitted the one-off all-wheel drive A1 with a 2.5-liter TFSI turbocharged unit able to develop no less than 503 horsepower and 658 Nm of torque being coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. These resources combined with a total mass of only 1390 kilograms will make the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h possible in just 3,7 seconds while the top speed remains limited at 250 km/h.

The interior presents sport seats, a new steering wheel and carbon fiber trim. In order to improve the performance, Audi fitted the 19-inch alloy wheels with some low-profile 255/30 tires while the optimum safety is ensured by a high performance braking system with ventilated carbon fiber-ceramic discs for the front axle and steel discs for the rear. Another feature of the Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro is the coilover suspension which significantly improves the ride and offers a variety of settings due to the adjustable compression and rebound damping.
