The Germans at Audi released the official pricing for the new A3 Sportback e-tron, the hybrid version of their model.
Starting at $37,900 in the United States, the 2016 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron comes with an impressive average fuel economy of 156.8 mpg US or 1,5 liters/100 km thanks to a 1.4-liter TSFI petrol engine and an electric motor.
The powertrain delivers 204 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint of around 7,5 seconds and a top speed of 222 km/h. There’s also a 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery used to store the energy. According to the carmaker, you can drive the car for around 50 kilometers without using fuel.
Interior features of the A3 Sportback e-tron include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch display part of the MMI infotainment system as well as dual-zone climate control.
At the exterior, the base model gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof and Xenon plus headlights. Of course, you can add more and more equipment but that’s going to affect the price tag.
