Audi officially revealed the TT offroad concept at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The new prototype previews the company’s upcoming crossover model, most of the features following to be found on the production model as well.
Under the hood, Audi fitted a 2.0-liter TFSI engine producing 292 horses as well as two electric motors adding 115 horsepower. In total, the hybrid powertrain delivers 408 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5,2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
If you want to drive with no emissions, the 12 kWh battery will give you a 50 km range at speeds up to 130 km/h.
Fuel economy figures are rated at just 1,9 liters/100 km or 123 mpg US with CO2 emissions of 45 g/km.
At the exterior, the Audi TT offroad concept stands out thanks to the large front grille, aggressive optical blocks and a familiar back. It remains to be seen how many features will be carried over on the production model. Even so, we are looking forward for more details on Audi’s crossover.
