The Germans from Audi teamed up with Renovo Hardwood Bicycles in order to create their new handmade bike. Today, they released the first details on the hardwood bike that will be built in Portland, Oregon, handmade, as we already told you above.
The new Audi bike is made of a hardwood frame which manages to meet the requirements alongside other components of carbon fiber and aluminum. Named Duo, the German bike will be available in three different versions with three different prices.
Starting with the most affordable one, Duo City, is a bike dedicated to short rides through the city. It features 32 mm tires, an eight-speed Shimano Nexus gear and Gates CenterTrack belt drive. The price of Duo City is $6,530 with all the taxes included.
At a price of $7,350, you get Duo Sport, a bike which fits best long-distance journeys providing comfort and safety. The Gates CenterTrack belt drive comes together with a better eleven-speed gear and 28 mm tires. If you aim even higher, you can get the third version, Duo Road, a high performance bike with narrow tires and a twenty-speed gear, at a price of $7,460.
