The 2016 Audi R8 has just reached the shores of Australia and will be offered on the local market in two variants: the R8 V10 and R8 V10 Plus, each one coming with spicy prices and top features.
The 2016 Audi R8 V10 costs $354,900 and is being offered with standard features like LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, dual-branch sport exhaust system with trapezoidal tailpipes and more.
Moving inside, the cabin is highlighted by the Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, Audi drive select with Audi magnetic ride, Audi Music Interface with 2x USB ports, DAB and digital radio as well as the Bang & Olufsen sound system.
In case you can`t settle with the base version then you can choose the high-end Audi R8 V10 Plus, which is now available at $389,900. This one adds extra carbon design parts at the front and rear spoilers, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, updated R8 V10 Plus sport suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, R8 bucket seats or the R8 performance flat-bottom steering wheel.
Under the hood, both versions come with a 5.2-liter V10 with 397 kW and 540 Nm of torque, in the R8 base version, and 449 kW and 560 Nm of torque in the R8 V10 Plus. The regular V10 takes 3.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h, while the V10 Plus needs just 3.2 seconds.
Both feature a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, which sends the power to a variable torque-split quattro all-wheel drive system, which divides the torque between the front and rear axles, depending on the road conditions.
