Australia: 2016 Mazda CX-5 Is Available from $27,890

Ever since its introduction on the Australian market starting 2012, the Mazda CX-5 SUV has been the best selling model in the segment, and that`s because of the car`s exceptional features and high-performance powertrains under the hood, not to mention the wide range of trims available on the market.

Due to its success, the Japanese carmaker continues the CX-5 saga and has recently announced the availability of the all-new 2016 model on the hot continent, with prices starting from $27,890 and going all the way up to $50,410. The full options can be seen in the media gallery below.

As for the top features, the 2016 Mazda CX-5`s main highlight is the i-ACTIVESENSE safety features now coming as standard in the entry levels Maxx and Maxx Sport, such as blind-spot monitoring, smart city forward collision warning, automatic low-speed braking, rear cross-traffic alert, auto-dimming rear-view camera and more.

On the other hand, the topped GT versions adds forward and reverse city braking support, stability and traction control, rear-view camera, six airbags and so on.

In the engine`s offerings, the all-new Mazda CX-5 SUV packs a wide array of mills, like the 2.0-liter petrol, with 114 kW and 200 Nm of torque, followed by a higher 2.5-liter petrol, with 138 kW and 250 Nm of torque.

The diesels refer to a 2.2-liter turbo-charged engine with 129 kW and 420 Nm of torque. This one sends the power to all wheels, while the 2.0-liter is a front-wheel driver only. Please find the full pricing details in the media gallery.
