Australia: 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Breaks Cover Next Month

There is a lot of activity going on in the Land Down Under, with lots of carmakers already displaying their new models. Nissan is one of them with the recently announced 2017 Pathfinder, the gorgeous model being revealed with full prices in the media gallery below.

Once arriving on the local market next month, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder will come in three variants – the ST, ST-L and Ti, each one featuring lots of standard equipment and optional gizmos.

Compared to the previous range, the new Pathfinder adds new styling updates – more aggressive front and rear bumpers, new bonnet, updated side mirrors and fog lights, the boomerang LED daytime running lights, as well as the carmaker`s “V-Motion” grille. The rear end is also highlighted by the new taillights.

Mechanically, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is also looking fresh, now coming with a stiffer suspension system, updated steering wheel with a much quicker response and improved handling and so on. The higher variants have also received the “Intelligent Emergency Braking” system with moving detection system, automated braking and forward collision warning, adding as well adaptive cruise control and 360-degree monitor for parking.

In the engine department, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has been equipped with the updated “VQ35DD” 3.5-liter V6 petrol burner, with direct injection and higher compression ratio, resulting a pure 202 kW and 340 Nm of torque. The fuel-consumption stands at 9.9L/100 km, which is quite an improvement from 10L.

On the other hand, the hybrid variant packs a 2.5-liter supercharged flat-four engine and an electric motor, with a total of 199 kW and 330 Nm of torque. The fuel-consumption now stands at 8.6L/100 km. Pleasefind below the full prices and engine specs!
