Australia: MG`s MG6 Plus and MG3 Hatchback – Prices Released

MG Australia has announced the return of its MG6 Plus and MG3 Hatchback on the hot continent, both versions now coming available with the same specs as their siblings in China, where are sold under SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation).

The prices for the MG6 Plus start at $21,990 and can go all the way to $25,990, all versions coming with a lot of room inside, enough to accommodate five passengers and their luggage.

In the engine department, the MG6 Plus is equipped with 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, with 118 kW and 215 Nm of torque, hooked to a dual-clutch transmission. The engine also comes with improved fuel-efficiency of 7.8 liters per each 100 km. The model features as well stop/start system.

On the other hand, the MG3 hatchback is available with three versions, the Core set at $13,990, the Soul at $14,990 and the Essence available at $15,990. All versions come with a 1.5-liter engine, with 78 kW and 137 Nm of torque, aimed at the Mazda2, and coming with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The MG 3 lineup is offered with a lot of tweaks and gizmos inside, with the main highlights on the six-airbag package, ISOFIX child restraints, automatic door locking or electronic stability program.

An MG 10 version will also be available in Australia, the model being built by Chinese van builder LDV, meaning that it will come with a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine, with around 165 kW and 330 Nm of torque, with a pricing tag of $29,990.
