Mitsubishi is planning to complete its Pajero lineup in Australia by launching the all-new seven-seater Sport SUV, starting this July.
The Japanese-based carmaker has not confirmed the news, but according to sources close to the Australian auto magazine PerformanceDrive, Mitsubishi is indeed planning the introduction of the new Pajero Sport.
Unfortunately, it is not a clear fact if Mitsubishi will introduce the third row of seats as optional or standard equipment.
Besides the seven-seat arrangement, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will also feature climate vents for all seats, extended side curtain airbags, optional rear DVD system on the Exceed version and additional high-tech gizmos. All these features would make it extremely competitive against the Toyota Prado`s or Ford Everest`s seen-seat models.
Once it will emerge on the Australian market, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be come in three versions: the GLX priced at $45,000, the GLS at $48,500 as well as the top of the line Exceed available at $52,750.
There are no news on the powertrain options equipping all three versions, but we will be back with fresh news on that matter, after PerformanceDrive magazine will have first tested the model.
