The all-gorgeous Touareg is about to receive a new face in the shape of the Adventure Edition, which might also announce a next generation variant in a couple of years.
The Volkswagen Touareg Adventure will arrive in Australia in the shape of the entry-level 180 TDI, the model arriving on the local market with plenty of new tweaks like bi-xenon headlamps, 19-inch Salvador alloy wheels, and so on.
Visually, besides the new design cues, the all-new Touareg Adventure edition will also add a choice of four colours, like Pure White Canyon, Grey Metallic, Deep Black Pearl or Sand Gold Metallic.
Inside, the model will feature the exquisite Vienna leather trim, roof racks, adaptive cruise control or forward collision mitigation. Other features also refer to the new air suspension system, towing accessories and so on.
Once arriving in the Land Down Under, the Volkswagen Touareg Adventure will have a starting price of $78,990, the model sharing the advanced MLB Platform with other models within the VW Group, such as Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 as well as the upcoming Lamborghini Urus.
In the engine department, the new Touareg Adventure will be equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine, developing a pure 180 kW and 550 Nm of torque, being sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. This is quite significant compared to the standard Touareg, which comes with the same 3.0-liter engine, but with less power – 180 kW and 450 Nm of torque.
The all-new Volkswagen Touareg Adventure will arrive in Australian`s showroom this May, with full details and prices to be revealed at a later date.
