BMW have a good tradition of producing special edition models to celebrate certain things. This time, they’ve decided to cherish 40 years of existence for the 3-Series model.
Originally introduced in 1975, the BMW 3-Series proved to be a successful model in the carmaker’s portfolio. The BMW 320d xDrive Touring 40 Years Edition will be available in a limited run of 100 units. The model comes with a 2.0-liter diesel powerplant able to deliver 190 horsepower.
Linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission and fitted with the company’s xDrive all-wheel drive system, the model promises good handling and a comfortable ride. At the exterior, buyers will get the M Sport Package, therefore new bumpers, 19-inch alloy wheels and other subtle tweaks.
This model comes with a special Tanzanite Blue finish so you can instantly recognize it on the streets. Inside, BMW fitted the 320d xDrive Touring 40 Years Edition with piano black accents and a sports steering wheel.
Other changes brought to this model are the new brakes as well as a revised suspension. Pricing details for the new special edition were not released but we do know that BMW will sell this car only in Italy and Japan.
