The German tuning company, AC Schnitzer has decided that if you go for a diesel powered estate version of the BMW 5 Series Touring you shouldn’t be left wanting.
I mean, you’ve already made some sacrifices in order to go for the estate version and for an engine which doesn’t really move your soul.
This doesn’t mean that you should miss out on the fun. To this extend AC Schnitzer didn’t take the M5 Touring for a tune up job but rather picked the 520d and 530d versions.
The AC Schnitzer tuning job serves up 34 extra ponies for the 520d bringing the total to 218 horsepower and 41 extra horses for the 530d which now develops 286 hp.
Apart from the extra power you get a new aero package which is destined to help you cut through the air cleaner and also improve the cooling of your more powerful engine.
Naturally, your BMW 5 Series Touring will also get a new exhaust system to help you hide what you’ve got under the bonnet.
And just in case somebody spots your car parked, AC Schnitzer will hook you up with a set of 20 inch five-spoke alloys.
