BMW announced their plans to introduce a new 114d model to the existing 1 Series range, the new version following to be the new entry-level model.
Under the bonnet sits a 1.6-liter diesel power plant able to develop 95 horsepower and 235Nm of torque. The new BMW 114d benefits from the TwinPower Turbo system which helps the 0-100 km/h sprint to be done in 12,2 seconds with a top speed of 185 km/h.
Of course, the new BMW 114d is an economic car with a fuel consumption of just 4,1 liters/100km and CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.
“Moreover, the new BMW 114d features the ECO PRO mode, which can be activated by means of the Driver Experience Control switch fitted as standard, facilitating both a relaxed and economical driving style,” says BMW.
Systems such as brake energy recuperation, auto start/stop and EfficientDynamics help the car to be eco-friendly. Reduced rolling resistance tires and a shift point indicator also help the German model in this regard.
