BMW i8 Arrives for Public Display at Abu Dhabi Dealer in Impressive Lava Green

View

This is not the first time we get our hands on an amazingly built and wrapped BMW i8, the plug-in hybrid feeling exclusive at BMW Abu Dhabi, which is the Mecca of custom-built, luxurious, rarest and most expensive BMWs ever made for show or for rich customers.

Our BMW i8 looks impressive with the Lava Green wrap, which is a rare sight amongst BMW products, the model also providing an elegant yet intimidating attitude, especially since it comes with the AC Schnitzer aero carbon fiber kit.

It is the kit itself and the new wheels that improves its aggressiveness and makes it more imposing than before. It is adorned with carbon fiber front spoiler, side sills and rear spoiler, adding as well the custom alloy wheels, all finished in Brushed Metal.

We are not sure if this lad here has also received any upgrades, but I reckon not. So we suppose that the same 1.5-liter engine paired to an electric motor and a 7.1 kWh lithium ion-battery, is found under the hood.

The overall power stands at an impressive 362 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, with the model coming with an electric range of 30 km achieved at a top speed of 120 km/h. The maximum range is clocked at 440 km.

This way, the hybrid drivetrain manages a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, while the sprint from 80 to 120 km/h is done in 4.0 seconds. The BMW i8 also comes with a top speed of 250 km/h.
