BMW plans to provide a new program for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine found under the bonnet of the BMW 120d, 320d and 520d models in the range.
To be more precise, the M Performance Power Kit provides extra power for the diesel engine mentioned earlier.

If you opt for this special power kit, you will get a total output of 197hp and 310Nm of torque. With the extra power, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time is improved by one second.

A revised ECU unit along with a larger air cooler is the key modifications brought by BMW with this kit. Even so, the German car maker says that the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures remain unchanged.

“Selective modifications in the area of engine control impact positively on power delivery,” says BMW.

More details will be released at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
