Volkswagen’s decision to slow down development of new high end cars has hit our hearts this time. After the SUV announcement came in, we were pretty chuffed, now though…
The news isn’t as fun as before. It seems that this economical crisis or whatever it’s called is going to delay a car that we were actually looking forward to.
The victim is the Bugatti Galibier. If you don’t want to count the Veyron in, that would be the greatest car Volkswagen will soon make.
Mind you, soon might not really be the case since its release is now completely in the air. We won’t find out anything for quite some time.
Even before this announcement the Galibier didn’t have a very clear schedule so it’s not a big surprise. Now though, the “until further notice” sticker lies in its future.
All we have to go by now is that the ultimate luxury and speed machine is somewhere between 2015 and 2016. Sigh, well, it’s not like we would’ve owned one anyway.
We don’t like these big expensive overly indulgent cars anyway, who cares about when they’re coming out.
If only that were true. We just can’t get over the idea of that massive W16 force-fed powerplant and the ultimate attention to detail, the luxury and the promise of an argument ending car.
We’re not that strong when it comes to fending of desirable cars. That’s certainly not happening with cars that have a Bugatti badge on it.
