The British supercar manufacturer unveiled recently at the Autosport International Show the new SP/300.R, the new model in Caterham’s range developed together with the people rom Lola Cars. The model benefits from components borrowed from several places such as the Formula 3 shift paddles, AP Racing braking system but also a new Hewland transmission.
Thanks to the 2.0-liter turbocharged Ford engine, the British model is able to develop 305 horsepower mainly due to some improvements made for the ECU unit and thanks to the new Rotrex compressor.
If the top speed of the model achieves 290 km/h the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is made in just 2,8 seconds, additional 30 horses being available thanks to the push-to-pass function. In terms of size the new Caterham Lola SP/300.R is 4,2m long and 1,7m wide while the total mass is just 545 kilograms. Special Cooper tires with 13-inch rims are available too alongside a roll-cage and LED lights.
