It seems like Chevrolet wasn’t the only company ready to celebrate 45 years of the Camaro and they’re not the only company that can cook up quite a car.
German tuners Geiger Cars went down a slightly different route, one that makes for a more obvious presence from the Chevrolet Camaro.
No basic entry level V6 engine used here, Geiger Cars went for the Chevrolet Camaro’s SS version and it seems that the 6.2 liter V8 engine wasn’t enough.
Sticking with all of this engine compartment stuff, a supercharger was bolted on top of the engine, a stainless steel exhaust system was attached underneath and an ECU remap in the middle.
The end result is a Chevrolet Camaro SS that’s now labeled as the Camaro Super Sport because it develops 564 horsepower, 488.2 lb-ft of torque and a sound that creates weather distortion.
Match up the Green paint finish, the racing stripe and the enormous “Supercharged” writing on the side and its obviously a wild party in Ibiza compared to the back yard barbecue the American company served up.
Who cares about the great 22 inch multi-spoke black alloy wheels when the rest of the car is killing your eyes and ears.
