The Americans from Chevrolet are planning to introduce the new Cruze hatchback in the UK next month, full details on the engine range, trim levels and pricing being available at the moment. The new Chevrolet Cruze hatchback comes in the UK with three different trim levels able to cover a variety of needs.
The first package is called LS and features front electric windows, remote locking, air conditioning, a radio CD player and heated side mirrors as well.
If you are looking for more comfort, the second trim level, called LT brings the same features of the first one but comes in addition with parking sensors, fog lamps integrated into the front bumper, a leather steering wheel and gearknob, cruise control, front and rear electric windows and a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels at the exterior. The top of the range trim level, known as LTZ, benefits from a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlights at the exterior, while interior you will get USB and Bluetooth connectivity alongside aluminium trim on the instrument panel.
Heated front seats, a new leather upholstery and satellite navigation comes as standard if you opt for the Executive Pack which is available only for the LTZ trim level of the diesel unit. Under the bonnet, power comes from three different engines, a diesel unit and two petrol engines.
To be more precise, the fuel-efficient diesel engine is a 2.0-liter turbo able to offer 163 horsepower coming together with a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. On the other hand, a 1.6-liter unit produces 124 horsepower while the most powerful petrol unit is a 1.8-liter that develops 141 horsepower. The American model starts from £13,995 in the UK and will be available starting July.
