The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu sedan gets today official pricing information for the US market. If you are interested in the American model, you have to know that the 2014MY starts at $22,965.
Power is provided by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit producing 196 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy figures are rated at 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.
If you want more power, there is the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivering 259 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque.
At the exterior, the new Malibu benefits from additional chrome trim, a revised front grille and new wheels. Inside, you should expect revised seats both at the front and rear, a new center console and revised materials.
“Chevrolet engineers incorporated valve-actuation technology known as Intake Valve Lift Control into Malibu’s 2.5L engine, which also contributes to improved fuel economy,” says the company about their saving-fuel technologies.
