The Chevrolet Volt MPV has now gone from drawings to reality.
It’s not grown a bit of a longer name but other than that it’s pretty much as expected.
What we’re talking about is that this car will be running with power from a lithium ion T-battery developed by GM and will also use a 1.4 liter engine generator. The battery range will amount to 32 miles per charge, while the gasoline generator will extend that by almost 300 miles.
The main thing about this model coming forward out of the dark is that GM is building a special brand underneath it’s outer shell, General Motors are extending their Volt platform just as promised.
The Chevrolet Volt MPV5 has some nice 19 inch wheels, features the same aerodynamic aids that help the Volt achieve it’s figures, properly seats five people and can carry some decent luggage around. Speaking of decent luggage space, the decency in this car is hovering around the 30 cubic feet mark and if you fold down the back seats this number goes up to a bit more than 62 cubic feet.
I have to say, so far, the Beijing Motor Show is coming along nicely.
