China-based Mercedes-Benz LWB E-Class Confirmed for 2016 Beijing Motor Show

View

Mercedes-Benz has recently confirmed that the stretched version of the E-Class will be officially unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show, opening its gates on the 25th of April. The model will be sold exclusively on the Chinese market.

The Mercedes-Benz LWB E-Class will be 5.5 inches longer than the normal E-Class, reaching an overall length of 199.3 inches. This will automatically lead to extra leg rooms for the rear passengers. The LWB E-Class`s wheelbase will also measure 120.8 inches, which is quite significant than the regular 115.3 inches.

Inside, the cabin will be as luxurious as the E-Class can be, coming with high-end materials on the seats to ensure the best comfort. And since Chinese people love luxury, the German based carmaker has fitted it with an exclusive design and high-end refinements.

Besides the LWB E-Class destined for Chine alone, according to recent reports, Mercedes-Benz is also planning to offer a stretched wheelbase of the limousine in other destined countries. We might be dealing with a Mayback-like interior, with individual rear seats, high-tech goodies and more.

The details list with the China-based Mercedes-Benz LWB E-Class is rather scarce at the moment, but we will find out more next week in Beijing, where the model will be officially unveiled along its hardcore siblings, like the GLC Coupe and C63 Coupe.
