Mopar released photos and details on a new special edition of the Chrysler 300 which will be revealed at the upcoming 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The event in question will be opened to the public from February 10-19. The new model is called Mopar ’12 300 and brings several aesthetic improvements along with few technical tweaks.
At the exterior, the American model features a black chrome grille, new 20-inch forged alloy wheels, fender badges and tinted optical blocks. Inside, the customers benefit from leather treatment, customized sill plates and special trim.
The Mopar ’12 300 is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 unit delivering 363 horsepower for an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Mopar decided to retune the suspension for an improved handling while a high performance braking system ensures the optimum safety.
“Building on the success of Mopar versions of the 2010 Dodge Challenger and 2011 Dodge Charger, the new Mopar ’12 300 transforms the Chrysler 300 flagship sedan into a performance tribute to celebrate Mopar’s 75th anniversary with unique appointments” says the company.
Only 500 units will be built with a starting price of $49,700 including the destination fee.
