The Americans from Chrysler decided to release more details about the new Delta hatchback, a model which entered the British market these days with a starting price of £16,695. Under the bonnet, Chrysler provides a 1.4-liter T-Jet engine offering 120 horsepower and 206 Nm of torque and a 1.4-liter MultiAir with 140 horses and 230 Nm of torque.
Along these petrol units, the new Delta will be available with other two Multijet diesels with displacements ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 liters and outputs from 120 to 165 horses. The most fuel efficient unit is the smallest diesel available with an average consumption of 60,1mpg UK followed by the 2.0-liter 165HP unit with 55,4mpg UK. On the other hand, the petrol units provide fuel consumptions of under 50mpg UK.
“The Delta will bring D-segment standards of space and quality to the C-segment. This is just the start of our journey as we re-launch the Chrysler brand in the UK,” said Nigel Land, Chrysler Director.
In terms of comfort, the new Chrysler Delta will provide four different trim levels ranging from the entry-level S to the luxury Limited version. If the Chrysler Delta 1.4 S is priced at £16,695, the Delta 2.0 Limited reaches a price tag of £25,695.
