The Renault`s main subsidiary in Romania Dacia, is making a come-back with its now hotter and hotter Duster model, the SUV that managed to outsell other SUV flagships in Europe.
Dacia has recently introduced a new 1.6-liter petrol engine, which will complete the SUV`s engine lineup.
And as representatives from Dacia state, this new 1.6-liter petrol engine which is compliant with the Euros 6 standards, is not “simply an EU6 version of the petrol engine previously fitted on the Duster”.
We are dealing thus with a more powerful 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, with 115 horsepower and 156 Nm of torque, 10 horsepower and 8 Nm of torque more than the previous petrol burner.
With these figures, Dacia Duster is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.0 seconds, in the 4×2, while the 4×4 is a little bit slower, with 12.0 seconds. The engine is hooked to a choice of 5- and 6-speed manual transmission, with the CO2 emissions standing at 155 g/km in the 4×2, and 145 g/km in the 4×4.
Apart the new 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, the Dacia Duster can also be had with the 1.5-liter dCi diesel, in the Ambiance and Laureate versions, with 107 horsepower and 109 horsepower, in both the FWD and the AWD versions.
