Renault’s sales director told the French publication Le Figaro that the current Sandero will become the best selling car in France by individuals. Dacia’s market success in France is becoming more evident, the Romanian brand market share reaching 5% in June, double compared to the same period of the last year. If in the first six months of the last year in France were registered 23,866 Dacia models, this year the number climbed to 61,250 units.
The evolution is largely due to improved success of Dacia Duster, who checked 10,000 orders from April so far. This made the waiting list to be spread over six months.
Bernard Cambier, Renault’s sales director, said that the release of Duster has generated an unprecedented flow in the last 20 years. Dacia is currently doing better than Fiat and Toyota. Cambier also argues that if things continue in the current direction, Sandero might become the best selling car in France by individuals.
