We have received additional information about two of GM’s pick-up trucks. Based on the same platform, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra now have a price tag and fuel consumption values.
Sharing not just the platform they are built on, these two vehicles from GM will also use the 5.3 liter EcoTec3 V8 engine, capable of 40hp more than the normal V8, up to 355hp.
This powerful engine is expected to manage a highway fuel consumption of 10.2 liters/100km if you opt for the 2 wheel drive or 10.7 liters/100km for the all wheel drive. With these kind of numbers, the Sierra and the Silverado are expected to be the most efficient in their class.
The starting price for a Chevrolet Silverado will be $24.585 for regular cab, and it goes up to $28.610 and $32.710 for the double and crew cap, respectively. In a similar fashion the GMC Sierra will fetch $25.085 for starters, and it will go up to $29.110 and $33.210.
