The 2011 Ford Fiesta received quite the welcoming in all the markets the Blue Oval sent it to and it really shows.
Once the numbers came in for the sales of the first quarter of 2011, Ford’s stunning little hatchback ranked on top of everything else with wheels.
With a March figure of an amazing 50.534 units being shifted, the grand result went all the way up to some 101.859 Fiestas finding new owners.
A lot of praise has been coming from the rest of the global market but sadly statisticians haven’t gotten together on the matter yet.
Considering Europe as a prime market however, not only did the Ford Fiesta get a blue ribbon for the occasion, it also helped the parent company snag a silver medal overall.
Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service with Ford of Europe is so proud of the achievements of the Fiesta, he decided not to show it.
At the official press release, de Waard said the company is pleased with the sales result and that they hope all new 2012 Ford Focus and C-Max models will do just as well.
