The Fiat Toro pick-up truck has been recently launched in the first official photo, following the teaser images first seen a couple of weeks ago.
I am not used to seeing a Fiat model with a pickup truck body style and this is why I find the Toro a little bit odd, especially since it comes with a rugged design.
Still, it brings a new and fresh look, thanks to the slender headlights, front bumper with wide daytime running lights, the Fiat logo on the small grille, large wide intake and a few more.
The model will be offered in Brazil in three versions, the Urban, Adrenaline and the Country, all sporting the 16- or 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Fiat Toro will feature leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, 5-inch display touch screen, light sensors, rearview camera, electric sunroof and so on.
In the engine department, the Fiat Toro will pack a 1.8-liter 16v E-Torq Flex with 138 horsepower, hooked to a six-speed automatic or the higher 2.0-liter 16v MultiJet turbodiesel with 170 horsepower and the same automatic transmission. Both will come with a 2WD system. The diesels will get a 9-speed automatic with 4 x4 configuration. Unfortunately, the Italian carmaker has not revealed the performance figures nor the prices.
