Fiat decided to do some fine adjustments to the current Panda in the UK and introduce new fuel efficient engines along some improvements for the already existent trim levels. Opting for the MyLife package you will get remote central locking and a set of new alloy wheels for £9,255 while the Dynamic trim level completes the range. It brings air conditioning, split folding rear seat, fog lights, MP3 player and a pearlescent exterior finish at a price of £9,865.

However, the biggest improvements can be seen under the bonnet where the Italian manufacturer decided to introduce some new Euro 5 engines able to achieve very good results in terms of fuel efficiency. Even this kind of small vehicles are fuel efficient due to their dimensions, Fiat decided to offer some units which meet the latest requirements in this regard.

Therefore, there is a new 1.2-liter engine able to deliver 69 horsepower and achieve a top speed of 162 km/h. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is now possible in 13,4 seconds while the Italian small model returns a fuel consumption of 4,9 liters/100 km. The CO2 emissions are also kept at a low level, 113 g/km to be more precise, meeting the Euro 5 requirements.

Even this unit replaces the smaller 1.1-liter engine available before, it seems that Fiat managed to tune the new unit in order to provide better results comparing to the one it replaces. Secondly, you can go for a 1.3-liter MultiJet turbodiesel unit which returns even better fuel consumption figures, 4,2 liters/100km.

The Italian model equipped with this engine emits 109 g/km CO2 and achieves a top speed of 166 km/h. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is done in 13,1 seconds, a little bit faster than the other choice. Expectable, the fuel efficient turbodiesel unit comes at a higher price compared to the previous engine, the total price rising to £12,285.
