First Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang produced by the Michigan plant

View

Ford is doing well lately as they’ve just produced the first Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang, a high-performance iconic muscle car for the company. The first GT350R Mustang exited the gates of the Flat Rock plant in Michigan. It wears a white body finish with black stripes, carbon fiber front lip spoiler and rear diffuser, 19-inch carbon fiber wheels and other lightweight materials.

It is powered by a massive 5.2-liter V8 engine that is capable to deliver 526 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque. A limited-slip differential alongside a six-speed manual transmission is in charge for putting power to the wheels.

In order to save weight even more, this special model has no rear seats or air conditioning. Every kilogram is important when it comes to performance, so these measures had to be taken for greater figures.

We also got a video with this Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang as it rolls off the assembly line. The car itself it’s not at its first appearance as we’ve already seen the model debut at the North American International Auto Show. Nevertheless, it is a pleasure to see it on tape, so we recommend you do the same by watching the video below.
