The Finnish people from Fisker announced that the new Karma plug-in hybrid, a model revealed about three years ago at NAIAS will enter production soon at the Uusikaupunki plant in Finland. Together with the first details, Fisker released the pricing of the new hybrid supercar, a price that starts from $95,900 in the United States.
The hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter petrol engine and two electric units. The petrol engine is used to recharge the 20kW lithium-ion battery while the electric units are able to develop a total of 402 horsepower and 1,300 Nm of torque.
With such resources, Fisker Karma is able to hit a top speed of 200 km/h while the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is possible in 5,9 seconds. The driving range of the hybrid supercar spins around 80 kilometers with zero emissions.
With some help from the petrol engine, you get a driving range of around 500 kilometers, 483 more exactly, while the fuel consumption and CO2 emission remain at a decent level, namely 2,4 l/100 km and 83 g/km. Fisker plans to produce over 7,000 units this year.
