The Americans from Ford together with Arena Motorsport unveiled at Geneva the competition version of Focus, a model that will race for the first time this month on the Brands Hatch circuit. Namely, we talk about Ford Focus BTCC, the special version ready to compete in the British Touring Car Championship.
Ford decided to use a new propeller instead of the 1.6-litre unit, namely a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which meets the latest FIA regulations. However, the new Ford Focus BTCC will be seen later this week at the Oulton Park where the team will make the latest tests for the big competition.
The British people from Arena Motorsport said that two vehicles will be needed for the upcoming competition, one for Andy Neate and the other one for Tom Chilton.
This year’s British Touring Car Championship will have no less than 10 rounds and the British Aon team is expected to race behind the steering wheel of the new Focus BTCC in all the races.
