Ford Focus ECOnetic Reviewed

View

We have here the new ECOnetic Focus model from Ford, and with this model they want to prove us that an “ECO” car doesn’t need to give up sportiness. From the customer point of view an “ECO” car means some restrictions, I mean a more economical engine theoretically speaking will be a less powerful one, but that’s not true.

Focus ECOnetic is not the first and also is not the only “ECO” model from Ford. In the ECOnetic category we can also find Fiesta (90 g CO2/km), Mondeo (139 g CO2/km) and Transit (189 g CO2/km). Ford Focus ECOnetic reached to the second generation but from the exterior it looks almost the same, plus this ECOnetic has a new on board computer and a new Start/Stop system.

For a low consumption they improved the dynamic of the car and also equipped it with “low-drag” tires from Michelin. Those things are not only on paper, the results are also visible in the car test results. The medium consumption recorded by the 1.6 liter diesel at 109 horsepower, lowered to 3.8 liter/100 km from 4.5 liter/100 km.
